Have A Network Of Well Maintained Blogs Of Your Own Is Critical

Recently I am trying to use blogs to promote my business websites, I decided I should only work on wordpress based blogs, so far we all agree that WordPress is wonderful for automated posting, managing and much more, with the fact that its licensed under GPL make the WordPress the most favored blogging kit around the globe.

Then I found out that I probably should build blogs myself, afterwards I can use the already built blogs to promote whatever I want, and I think its not a patentable idea, there are a lot of blog networks out there doing just that, the thing is that I don’t control those blogs, and I have no way to post to those blogs, its easy to understand that the price on those networks won’t be cheap.

Its quite difficult to manage more than a few blogs manually, if you don’t like garbage on your blogs, the real content writing is time and money consuming, a successful blog needs a lot of hard work. I’ve seen quite a few real world examples, let’s examine this one, Cargo Tie Down, it’s name is pretty cute, the content on the site is not bad, since this is not a themed blog, you’ll find all kinds of different posts there. Here is another one, How To Install Tire Chain, this blog has a theme, all posts are following the same theme, and ranks well for quite a few keywords. I can show you a lot more sites, but I think you understand the basics now. One more important point, in your little net you should have some loose blogs, put some random content on those blogs occasionally, take one blog as example, Cargo Control, doing this right you will have a natural blogging networks.

If you have a few established blogs already, you can try to build a few more, then use the established blogs to promote the new ones, this way you get your little blog network rolling. It sounds pretty simple, but the real stuff will be more complicated, follow the white hat tricks and ethic codes of online conduct you will be fine.

 

When Non-Contextual Links Devalued We Need Quality Articles

Lately google made some changes to their rank algorithm,   the reason cited is that google wanted to provide more relevant results, according to their official blog, this change impacts 11.8% organic search results, put it this way, there are about 12% of google search results are considered low quality by google itself. The update was initiated more than a year ago, maybe that’s why some of my ranks dropped out of first 10 pages, on the other hand almost all keywords promoted by contextual links are not affected, a few of these keywords ranked better than ever, it’s almost a sure thing that plain link building loses all it’s attraction, at least in the eye of google.

So what exactly is linking campaign the old way? There are a lot of SEO company out there are doing this, they add your links to those linking websites without context, the content on those sites will never be updated, and most of them are useless, the name of link spamming sites is justified. Now google algorithm probably will weed out these sites, any links on them will be affected too. 

Maybe a few examples will make it clear. In the very beginning, I didn’t know better, I started with this keyword, cargo control, of course with old way of link building, almost all the sites I got link from had too many links, worst yet, those sites had no content at all. In the beginning, the ranking of the keyword in question rise pretty fast, eventually the keyword could be found on first page, this was the case until google made the change. Something opposite happened to this keyword, chain pullers, we put the link in relevant context, with very few plain links, the rank for this keyword is making me real happy. Now contextual links win the battle, then what? Actually this is all about content, when you create unique and quality content, you will attract readers as well as search engines. How do you do it? Writing articles and building blogs, for instance let’s examine this one, best smartphone 2011 , I didn’t put too much effort into it from start, but I never stopped posting, and to my surprise, I have high ranks for some of  competitive keywords. For wordpress blogs, I recommend twitter tools, get a twitter account and API keys, set up API credentials in your twitter tools option, then every new post on your blog will show up in your twitter page, it’s easy and really useful, it’s a big loss if you don’t use this tool.
